We all know the struggle in finding THE perfect pair of jeans. Once you happen to find them, it’s a victory worth celebrating. Here are some tips to keep in mind when you’re hunting for your next pair of denim.
1. Check the quality of the jeans, does it have memory? Meaning does it bounce back to original shape when you take it off. This indicates that the material is sturdy and will be one to withstand many years of wear.
2. If you want skinny jeans, opt for high waisted skinny jeans as it tends to elongate the leg and slims down the hip. Almost all of my jeans are high waisted. If you are short, high waisted jeans are your best friend.
3. Bootleg or straight jeans like the one I’m wearing here are meant to be hemmed or cropped. They actually look better folded up.
4. The most important factor you need to look for is the inseam size, which refers to the measured length between your crotch and your ankle. For example, a 32 to 34-inch inseam is usually ideal for longer legs, an average 30-inch inseam fits most, and if you’re petite a 27-inch inseam works best to show off a little ankle

5. Check the size of the back pockets, if they are too far apart, it will make your butt look droopy and flat. You want to opt for smaller pockets that are placed higher up to give you more of a lifted booty effect
6. Darker jeans will make things look smaller, lighter color jeans will make things look bigger. Stick with solid colors instead of faded or washed out colors. If you want to go for two-tone colored jeans, just make sure that the pattern of the colors doesn’t stop at the knees as this will cut you off at the knee and make you appear shorter.

7. If there is a space between the zipper and the crotch, it’s a definite no go. This type of jeans will give you a camel toe. Choose one where the zipper is all the way down without any space in between.
