I stumbled upon the Luna 2 when I gave up on my Clairsonic. I literally couldn’t keep up with replacing the Clairsonic brush heads for the life of me and it always left my skin feeling dry and irritated given the fact I was using the sensitive skin brush head. It also aggravated my acne when I had some. So I set it aside and never used it again. YUP! Bye bye Clairsonic.
In case you didn’t know, I have a combination skin type (normal with an oily T-Zone). My skin is acne-prone and somewhat sensitive. I tried SOOO many devices on the market and I couldn’t reside with one that I genuinely like except for the Foreo Luna 2.
Yes this device is hella expensive! But it is worth every penny (in my opinion). I purchased mine during the Sephora VIB Rouge sale event. I was really hesitant about investing in it but I gave it a shot and I gotta say… I don’t regret it.
It gently exfoliates the skin without stripping it off or scratching the heck out of my skin (Clairsonic, yes I’m talking to you). It helped unclog my pores and remove my makeup and dirt off my face. The vibration stimulates blood circulation and therefore your skin looks more radiant. On their company’s website, they state that it can help firm up the skin and create more elasticity but I am not sure about that to be honest. I also don’t care for the anti-aging backside of the device; I don’t think it does much for me as the front side.
I find it to be a lot more hygienic, and definitely maintenance free. You don’t have to buy brush heads to replace every 2 months; you don’t have to charge it every 4 days. You can leave it in the shower without causing it to mold or rust. It is more effective at cleaning you face than just using your hands. The Foreo Luna 2 comes in different silicon shapes targeting different skin types (such as combo, normal, oily, sensitive skin type).
Fun fact: I use mine every SINGLE day, and I only charge it once every 2 months. Yeah, I know, it’s unbelievable.
It’s an amazing piece of device to say the least. I truly love it. I give it a solid A+, just wish it was more affordable!
