Madly in love with Capri (pt.2)

I swear to you this photo is real. I know it looks like a scene from a movie. The glittering deep aquamarine water, the vibrant yellow boats cruising the Amalfi away along with true Italian skippers, all make it seem like a dream.

Capri is famous for Blue Grottos. We didn’t have enough time to see all the cool Grottos, but highly recommend it if you’re going to Capri. Definitely a must next time we go. The boat takes you into a tiny little entrance (less than 1 meter high) where you will see water glowing from within. It’s really awesome. Grottos are best visited when it’s sunny and bright outside as sun is needed to create that internal glow.

Marina Grande

The Statue of the Scugnizzo

The Grotta del Corallo

The Faraglioni

On this boat ride, we were able to see the Statue of the Scugnizzo, more cool grottos along with sailing through the bay of Marina Piccola, and the Faraglionis (trio of sea giants). The Faraglioni is large enough to allow small boats to go through.

La Fontelina (James bond view)

Make sure to check out the La Fontelina or as they like to call it the “James bond beach”, it’s utterly stunning (you need reservations to eat there). There is a long path that takes you down to the beach so bring some water, and wear comfy shoes as my flip flops literally melted down in the heat and I got some serious blisters….I ended up walking bare feet which I don’t recommend

View from the Restaurant

However, the path that gets you there is the most scenic path, don’t hesitate to go down there. Hiking back up wasn’t as fun as going down but the view kept me entertained.

In conclusion, I can’t wait to go back to this enthralling beauty. Capri is beyond words.

Until next time…

Be inspired,

MM
