Opulent Porto Cervo – Sardinia

Porto servo is the heart of Costa Smeralda. It is the most luxe and the most gorgeous part of Sardinia. I loved this town so much. The beaches are serene and beautiful . Porto Cervo is known for attracting celebrity and wealthy tourists. Yachts and sail boats are literally EVERYWHERE. You can safely say it is the place for the rich and famous and one of the most exclusive holiday spots in the world.

Porto Cervo is so glamorous and sophisticated. The view from the top gives you an idea what to expect when you’re there. It’s full of life and such a peaceful town.

We stayed in Colonna resort (Europe’s biggest saltwater pool). The rooms were a bit outdated but the view was so beautiful. They offer a variety of options for breakfast especially for those who are vegan like us. Just give the staff heads up about your diet requirement and they should be able to accommodate.

Spiaggia Capriccioli Beach

Spiaggia Capriccioli Beach has some panoramic views of the islands near by. This beach is a popular one in the Costa Smeralda area.  This picture was taken from our boat ride to Isla Di Mortorio. However, we visited the beach and it was super crowded. Busy, small but beautiful.

On our way to Mortorio island, we decided to stop by these massive cliffs. Jon couldn’t help it, he really wanted to jump!

Here it is: The bluest water ever- Isola Di Mortorio

We did several tours around different islands. My favourite  is called Isola Di Mortorio.

Mortorio is not very well advertised, you have to ask the locals about it. We found out about it from my friend who used to live in Porto Cervo. She said I would miss out big time if I didn’t check it out and she was absolutely right. Mortorio is part of the archipelago of La Maddalena in between the coast of Porto Cervo and Porto Rotando.

Snorkling here is pretty epic, tons of small colorful fish everywhere. I recommend taking a private boat (240 euros for a couple of hrs) and explore this unparalleled beauty. But don’t forget to Negotiate !

Hotel Cala Di Volpe

You can go water-skiing at Hotel Cala Di Volpe.  Jon skied for few minutes, waterskiing there isn’t cheap but an experience. The water was a bit choppy that day, however, he really enjoyed it.

Apparently, this is THE place for peach Bellinis while pondering the beauty of the sunset. Highly recommend it.

Be inspired,

Xo
